These poems will give you some words to say, but you also need romantic ways to use those words....

Here are some ways to use these romantic poems:

1.  Buy a beautiful decorative journal with blank pages and hand write the poems of your choice into its pages. Also include the reasons you felt each particular poem reminded you of them.

In fact, if there any remaining blank pages, your Valentine can also use them to record their own choice of love poems for you. That way, it could become an even more meaningful keepsake of your love, created as a joint project over time!

2.  Email one each day for a week leading up to Valentine's Day to your Valentine. Send it after work hours or late at night, so that the first email your sweetheart opens in the morning is yours.

Make sure you tell him or her how much you love her, and that the poem doesn't even begin to express the depth of your true feelings, but it is a start.

3.  Take a few lines from each poem and hand-write it in a card for your Valentine. Do this in 5 or 6 cards, and put them around the house for him or her to see throughout the day.

4.  Type one of the poems, but personalize it and print it out onto cardstock. ("Shall I compare Katherine to a summer's day...") Frame it and present it as an expression of your feelings for your Valentine.

With some imagination, you can come up with many ways to use these classic poems in order to make Valentine's Day memorable. Image Credit: Aubrey at Flickr.com under a Creative Commons Licence
